Comics in Bed! and other silliness…

hello all,

I am working on a new Kernel Corn comic that will be up in the next couple of days. It’s been a hectic month so comics have been put on hold briefly…well, apart from comics made in bed!!

Sorry for the lack of updates folks. I was working on a comic this weekend…first Kernel Corn and Peater…then Skully…and then a Sketchbook comic. None of them were coming together and I wasn’t happy with where they were going, so not forcing any half baked comics this week (i can’t promise i’ll hold my ground next time though) There should be a comic update coming soon though so hang in there. Thanks.

Jetpens.com is an awesome, awesome online store that carries a ton of great pens (of course) and other art supplies from Japan! I recently ordered a few pens, and LOVE my new dual end Pilot pen – one end is black brush pen, and the other is grey…LOVE IT!! I have already ordered more 🙂

sorry for the comic drought, they will return as soon as humanly possible, but are delayed for the timebeing by forces beyond my control….other deadlines!!!

until them let me amuse you with my lackluster sketches and junk….

I can’t be the only one to draw comics on their credit card receipts, can I? In other news, expect to see Natto-Man in a future Kernel Corn comic!!

Calgary Expo, Free Comic Book Day & lasagna!

Hey there folks!

Calgary Expo

A couple weeks ago I finally dragged myself to a comic convention (The Calgary Entertainment Expo) after a hiatus of 4 years as some of you reminded me, and well….it was awesome! 😀

It was really great getting to meet a bunch of old friends, old fans, as well as new – and to hear that people are enjoying my work.
Thanks a lot to everyone who stopped by.

I made a bunch of new prints and things that I am planning on posting in the dorkboy comics store as soon as I get a chance so stay tuned!

Free Comic Book Day

This past weekend I was invited to local comic shop Comic-Kazi as a guest artist along with many other far better, less unruly characters.

Super talented Batman penciller Marcus To was unlucky enough to sit next to me, while I tormented him, everyone else, and drew some ridiculous Free Comic Book Day comics (see below).

and of course one featuring Michael McAdam (Diaperman)

oh, and completely unrelated here are some comics drawn on my ipod while i cooked lasagna!!

And yes more comics will be coming soon!

Calgary Expo Appearance!

Ha-pea Valentines Day everyone!!

I want to extend a big thank you to my loyal readers despite my erratic schedule. On a related topic….It’s not looking like I will get the next Kernel Corn comic done this weekend, but stay tuned next weekend! 😀
